What we do

The Essex coast is one of the longest coastlines of any county in England, stretching for over 350 miles. It is a vibrant place with traditional seaside resorts, historic villages, international ports, growing towns and a rich and varied natural environment.

The Essex Coastal Forum is a partnership bringing together communities and organisations with an interest in the Greater Essex coast.

Here you can find a variety of information about the coast, including detailsĀ of recreation activities, the local economy, as well as documents from the Forum's meetings and conferences.

This initiative is jointly funded by Essex County Council and the Interreg IVB North Sea Region Programme through the County Council's involvement in a European Project known as "SUSCOD" - (SUStainable COastal Development).
